| On 5 November 2005, one of AFA's own- Mark H. Buzby ('75N) was promoted to
Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy. The promotion ceremony took place during
AFA's 2005 Homecoming Parade. After reciting the oath, which was
administered by the Academy's Commandant- Major General Robert Flanagan USMC
(Ret.),
Mark Buzby assumed the title of Rear Admiral, U. S. Navy. This promotions marks
a very significant milestone in Mark's career. Very few officers ever
reach flag rank in the U.S. Military. Mark now joins a long list of
distinguished Farragut Alumni who have gone on to achieve great things.
